Now there is a second hundsfutter Workshop. A second place for respect Idealism and positive contributions. Because we are now so far that we want to grow. And also need to grow our values and to defend ideals.
A lot has happened since we hundsfutter have started. We got to feel the real world more and more often. The reality of the market following rules that are self-defeating. The need for renewal and growth has become so pressing that there really is no room for a fresh start or a new beginning redirect. The system has us firmly in its grip and somewhat punishes those who try with too many ideals and personal effort Sustainable build up. Social return is crushed by short-sighted greed for profit. The attention and purchasing power goes into projects that follow the principle of “business as usual”.

Whether it's the wrong ones EU taxonomy regulations are or is the bulk shop that has to close. Big and small, the seriousness of the situation has not yet really reached the people. Most people just carry on as if there are no real problems. And there is always talk of renunciation when you want to pay more for meat or when you find plant-based alternatives on the shelf instead. And what applies to eating also applies to walking, taking the train, cycling, being willing to buy green electricity or not going on a cruise....valid.
This means that the mood is not necessarily only favorable for one idealistic project, It is measured by values such as free shipping, low price guarantee and 24 hour service. .Forget what a committed project contributes to added value for society as a whole. too much short-sighted, attention is simply paid to the price and a superficial benefit. sustainability, permanence, morality; Solidarity, ethics, fairness are not current values. It's just that someone else is paying the price for getting more and more for yourself and having to do less and less for it.
This form of living needs infinite growth and that doesn't work. The effects can now be seen in our immediate environment. Growth only works for us through exclusion and division of society. The process excludes more and more groups of people from a dignified existence. The cake is being shared among fewer and fewer people. Worldwide anyway for a long time and now also in the immediate vicinity.
The solutions (that which is sold to us as the solution) are often the problem.
Our society is great at demanding solutions. But less to really solve the problem than to simply carry on as before with a clear conscience. Because renunciation is not possible. Whoever starts it will be voted out. Unfortunately, the problem is much more fundamental than we want to admit.
No matter if Corona, garbage or flood. We believe that if we control the effects, we have solved the problem. But that's just not the case... But on the contrary. Applications don't help. They only generate data with which the unscrupulous then do their business and new problems arise. Many aid organizations that call for donations first have to keep their own apparatus running and the real help is then rather symbolic. And kings having their picture taken with starving children and church officials calling for respect... all of this is not really believable or helpful. The problem is much deeper. It is the lack of real values, respect for life, reverence and a certain healthy humility. Long-term life as a society is only possible with respect for idealism and positive contributions.
A certain recklessness is essential for the survival of our system and at the same time becomes its downfall.
We are supposed to believe that progress makes everything possible. That technology can compensate for our wasteful use of resources and that man, like a god, can and can do everything. That is why certain companies and ventures are tolerated and sometimes sponsored and approved. Critical thinking is not encouraged, but conformity. Learned more by heart than thought. It is not necessary to look at the whole thing, but rather at a small sub-area. You shouldn't look left and right but function and, above all, not question too much. That's annoying.
Instead of supporting sham solutions…
… want we contribute. We have huge Respect in front of Greta Thunberg, because she has achieved so much. And with her consistent action. She lives a clear thought and reaches more and more people. We ourselves looked the other way for so long and participated and believed that we were on the right side with pseudo-solutions. But that was all self-deception.
The great wish, a real contribution afford to.
That's why we have ours hundsfutter Projects started. With a lot of personal commitment and investment of what we have generated elsewhere. We want to make a contribution so that something can change. Actually we were hoping that something like hundsfutter quickly conquers its place and can exist stably. But we noticed how much the majority of people are caught up in what I call the “pressure system” of capitalism. you measure hundsfutter with the same standard as they measure a large corporation. And they demand things that we can't do and don't see that we do many other things that you won't get from any large corporation. But they are simply collected as a matter of course and if the goods don't go out on the same day or the shipping is one euro more expensive, there are quick protests.
All this sometimes makes it difficult to make positive contributions with respect and idealism. Because I think the system is pushing people to buy goods cheaply in China without questioning how these goods were created, simply to make a profit. For us, this is an absolute "no go" because only financial returns can be combined with social returns. Admittedly, that means a lot of headwind. But we defy that.
The flight forward to survive in the system.
For the workshop in Siegen the pressure has become too great. That's why we decided to set up a second workshop in Madrid. It's a second place around mit respect and Idealism to make positive contributions. Our “Obrador” is already working and because there is also a shop, we can talk to many dog owners and explain our project. That's very nice and we get a lot of feedback, suggestions and confirmation. The Madrilenians are also very open-minded and happy to accept the vegan offer. They even go one step further because they often insist on unpackaged products. We think that's great. Clear. And that's why we're now expanding our unpackaged offering in the web shop. Fresh from the oven straight into the recycling box to the courier.
The other products in the compostable cellophane bags, the individual gift boxes, stuffed animals, scarves, coats and chews are of course still available online and in stores.
